Saptasaram Kashayam is a very famous Ayurvedic medicine in liquid form. It is also known as  Saptasaram kashayam, kashaya etc.  It is used in the treatment of hip pain. It is made of seven herbs. Hence the name saptasaram. This medicine is formulated based on the principles of Kerala Ayurveda practice.

Saptasaram Kashayam Dose: 

• The dose is 12 – 24 ml, before food, at about 6 – 7 am and 6 – 7 pm or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.
• It is usually advised to add an equal amount of water to the kashayam.
• It is also available in tablet form.

Adjuvants:
Saindhava lavana – rock salt
Pippali – long pepper
Asa foetida, jaggery or ghee, as suitable.

Saptasaram Kashaya Side Effects: 

1. There are no known side effects with this medicine.
2. However it is best to use this product under medical supervision. 
3. Self-medication with this medicine is discouraged.
4. High dose may lead to diarrhea
5. Under medical supervision, it is used in the lactation period and in children.
